Engineer Ziad Murtaja is an experienced business leader with a proven track record of steering major companies toward success in Saudi Arabia. He has extensive expertise in restructuring, developing growth strategies, and enhancing financial and operational performance.
He served as the CEO of AlAjou Group Trading, where he led the company's restructuring and developed a new growth strategy. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Al Moammar Information Systems (MIS) from 2017 to 2022, successfully leading its initial public offering (IPO) on the Saudi Stock Exchange (TASI), making it the first fully integrated IT systems company to be listed.
From 2014 to 2017, he was the CEO of Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia, during which the company achieved its highest revenue and profit in its 35-year history.
Before that, he led Hewlett-Packard (HP) Saudi Arabia from 2009 to 2013 and then took on the role of Senior Director of Networking for the Middle East and Africa. In this capacity, he played a key role in strengthening partnerships with Saudi companies and contributed to empowering women in the technology sector by hiring 67 female engineers over five years.
He began his career at Cisco Systems, where he held several leadership positions between 2000 and 2009, further solidifying his expertise in technology and digital transformation.
Engineer Ziad holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Kuwait University, along with advanced certifications in leadership and management.
